He Spoke
by Barbara Philbrook

He spoke and there was a world,
one of the mysteries still to be unfurled.

He spoke and there was light,
the greater during the day the lesser at night.

He spoke and the sea and the land parted.
This all happened the week the earth started.

He spoke the birds in the air, the fish in the sea,
and the animals roaming the land abundantly.

Then He took the dust of the land,
and breathed into it the life to be known as man.

Out of the man He took a rib from his side,
and formed the woman who became the bride.

This first pair willingly gave in to sin,
and that is how the need for salvation was to begin.

You see the price of sin is eternal damnation,
thus the reason for the plan of salvation.

The plan made with such tremendous love,
initiated and carried out by our God above.

Jesus lived His life totally sin free,
so that all who would accept Him can live for eternity.

Now He beckons us each with His voice.
We answer the call and make our choice.

Whether to receive eternal salvation,
or to reject and suffer damnation.

He spoke and now He's waiting to hear.
Will you accept what's in store for you up there?
