It Is An Honor
by Barbara Philbrook

It is an honor Lord to be allowed to serve you,
I pray to be the very best at anything that you ask me to do.

May my heart be entirely surrendered too,
may every action that I perform reflect the love you give that we are not due.

May the words spoken with those I encounter each day,
be the very words that you desire that I say.

May the impressions I leave with those I meet in my daily life,
be free of depression worries or strife.

May the joy that "Coming Home to be with You one day" which I feel,
be the catalyst that fills them with that very same zeal.

Those who have known rejection and pain way deep in their heart,
are the ones with whom I wish to share that you have loved them from the very start.

Those who believe that real love comes with a price of  it's own,
need to know that it's offered freely they are the ones who have to be shown.

Put me in positions I pray where I can share with others each and every day,
bring me into contact with those who need to hear what it is that I have to say.

There are those who don't know the story of Jesus on the cross,
they are the ones I fear may be a loss.

Thank You Father for allowing me to share what you have done for me,
and I pray that many others  will make a decision to come home to thee.
