Hope Is..
by
Barbara Philbrook
Hope is
knowing God is in the midst thereof yet will never cause
iniquity.
He has no favorites, it is always equal treatment for you
or me.
Hope is
knowing God's hand is reaching out for us even in the
darkest hour,
knowing, if necessary, we will see angels and
all their power.
Hope is
believing as David did facing the giant Philistine,
knowing about faith and what possessing it can mean.
Hope is
Daniel being lowered into the lions' den,
believing in the morning he would come out again.
Hope is
Joseph honestly resisting the ruler's wife,
knowing it would bring about punishment and strife.
Hope is
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego still openly praying
even though,
into an oven with the roaring fire they would have to go.
Hope is
Jacob not willing to release his hold.
A situation in which he was rather bold.
Hope is
believing that if you have a rope and just hang in,
that Jesus is the one holding on at the other end.
Hope is a
gift given out of love,
by the honorable and honored God above.
