I Am Home
by
Barbara Philbrook
I am home
and it makes me glad,
not being able to communicate with you made me sad.
I missed
the fun and joy we share,
I hold our friendships so very dear.
It was
nice seeing those I love and miss,
but couldn't wait to get home and write poetry like this.
It gives
me joy to put my feelings into verse,
and being unable to was quite the curse.
I know not
that anyone was blessed as much as me,
it lifted my heart that so many loved ones I could see.
But
returning to this place we call home,
mattered more to us than being able to roam.
Until we
are called home to be with God for eternity,
this is the place we are meant to be.
Writing
verses and sharing my loving Father's story,
giving Him all the praise and glory.
