I Can Take It
by Barbara Philbrook

I can take it because I do not stand alone,
the reality of this I've lovingly been shown.

But there are those who have not met my Lord as yet,
they are the poor souls for whom I dearly fret.

Because I have the strength of ten thousand or more,
I can face anything and still His name adore.

I remember collapsing at the first sign of tragedy,
I was a weakling until I invited Jesus to reside within me.

Nothing can happen which I can not withstand,
for if I were to fall Jesus would take my hand.

Blessed assurance is what I now possess,
you can have the same and live in peacefulness.

When you are surrendered and have accepted the salvation plan,
you are no longer just a mortal man.

You never stand on your own strength as you did before,
you are strengthened by the Lord whom you now adore.

Absolutely nothing can come between you and God in Heaven above,
nothing can separate you from His great love.

You too can overcome tragedies galore,
and be assured of being with our Father forevermore.

You are being beckoned, just open the door and welcome your Savior,
immediately He starts changing your behavior.

I can take it and so too can you,
accepting Jesus' loving invitation is all you have to do.
