I Come To The Father
by Barbara Philbrook

I come to the Father each and every day,
seeking His guidance as I kneel to pray.

Asking that I may be allowed to see,
all that God has in store for me.

Praying for the wisdom that I may need,
as through the day I willingly proceed.

Petitioning God to fill me with His great love,
so I may invite all I meet to His home above.

Offering Him my heart, body and soul,
and asking that through Him I be made whole.

Seeking guidance on decisions I must make,
and asking for wisdom so His advice I will take.

Pledging my self and all I can become,
to sharing the story of God's precious Son.

Depending on God's strength to help me along,
knowing it's His Grace that I count upon.

Determining anew each and every day,
to follow Jesus' example all the way.

I come to the Father through His Son,
and I'm guided by the Spirit, all three being one.
