I Give Up
by Barbara Philbrook

I give up, there's no more I can do.
So Heavenly Father I give it all to You.

I've cried tears all throughout the night,
but I on my own have brought confusion to their plight.

I've shared what it is that gets me through.
I've offered to do anything I can do.

I've given verses that have helped me before,
and told about Jesus knocking at their heart's door.

I've cried and prayed till I'm weak and weary,
but was told 'Stop your prayers, it makes her teary.'

So now I'm giving it all dear Father to You.
I trust you'll do whatever it is that will get them through.

Whatever it takes Lord, please reach into their heart.
This has been my desire from the very start.

What matters the very most to me,
is that they come to know Father, Son and Holy Spirit all three.

I give up. No more trying to intercede,
but as I give up, it is for You, Father, to meet their need.
