I Had A
Doubt
by
Barbara Philbrook
I had a
doubt about my salvation,
and it caused me to loose all of my elation.
I thought
the Spirit had withdrawn from me,
and was filled with much uncertainty.
I dwelt on
what my feelings were,
and then of course all of my emotions did concur.
I felt sad
and withdrawn without a doubt,
I was in a depth of sorrow and couldn't get out.
Then I
remembered what Roman's 8:38 & 39 had to say,
and it lifted my spirits right away.
Yes I am
now persuaded that nothing in or of this world neither
below or above,
can separate me from Jesus which is God's Love.
Nothing in
this world or any other,
can change the fact that Jesus is my adopted
brother.
I have an
inheritance waiting for me,
and all of this was done because of God's Love you see.
He made
sure I saw it in His Holy Word,
and understanding it's meaning is what then occurred.
I realized
to accept salvation I must make the choice,
and then I must tell the world with my own voice.
I had a
doubt but not any longer you see,
I now know I have a home for eternity.
Won't you
make your own personal choice too,
accept salvation, Jesus is waiting for you.
