I Kept My Cool
by Barbara Philbrook

Thank You Father I kept my cool,
I didn't loose my temper and act the fool.

No thanks to me that's for sure,
when something goes wrong it's hard for me to ignore.

You promised in Your word to change me,
and I am so grateful for every change I see.

How many times in the past I'd regret an act,
but what could I do after the fact.

An apology given from my heart,
but I've always wanted to control it before it could start.

Thank You Father for changing me,
into a person who handles things more like Thee.

I kept my cool because of Your loving direction,
since I've offered You my subjection.
