I See Tears
by Barbara Philbrook

I see tears rolling down your face.
I wish I could put a smile in their place.

The sadness in your eyes is tearing me apart.
I wish I could give you peace in your heart.

There is a melancholy tone in your voice.
I'd like to introduce you to Jesus and explain a choice.

Explain what it is and by whom it is made.
Explain how a debt was already paid.

I have shed tears similar to those I now see,
so I'd like to share with you what is being offered for free.

There is one who can wipe your tears away,
who desires all of your sinful debts to pay.

One who can make each and every day brighter,
who promises your burdens will always be lighter.

One who knows all that you have been through,
and promises from this day forth to stand with you.

All you do is call on Him,
and instantly a new life in you He will begin.

You can not change on your own,
throughout all time this has been shown.

None who call are ever turned away,
so call out to Jesus as you bow your head to pray.

I see tears, they are tearing me apart.
Won't you call out to Jesus inviting Him into your heart.
