It's Not Me
by Barbara Philbrook

It's not me, no not anymore,
I ceased to be since opening my heart's door.

I no longer live I've been born anew,
Jesus changed me just as He promised to do.

No thoughts left of my very own,
I am now like-minded with Jesus as the Bible has shown

No longer do I react to situations each day,
instead I give myself to Jesus each morning as I pray.

Developments arising unexpectedly in my life,
no longer can make me weak with strife.

Never again need I quiver and shake in fear,
I am not alone my Jesus is near.

It's not me who faces the enemy,
it is my Jesus who abides within you see.

It was planned way back when the world began,
it's know simply as the "Salvation Plan".

He gave His life to set us free,
then He opens our eyes so this truth we'll see.

He gently beckons till we invite Him in,
immediately the changes from within begin.

It's offered to each of us one and all,
none are rejected who answer the call.

It's not me offering you this partition today,
Jesus is reaching out to you in one more way.

Won't you seek to see what Jesus is offering to you,
then you will become a new person too.
