Sometimes
I Wonder
by
Barbara Philbrook
Sometimes
I wonder just what is real.
I know I can not rely on the way that I feel.
Sometimes
I wonder if I fully understand,
the amazing truth in the salvation plan.
Sometimes
I wonder is my faith sufficient,
even though I know God's gift is proficient.
Sometimes
I wonder where I stand,
though most often I know I am held in the palm of God's
hand.
Sometimes
I try to control each and every doubt,
because I know God can work everything out.
Sometimes
I wonder if I've fallen short,
though I know God is in charge I am not.
Sometimes
I try to surrender even harder,
forgetting that I've given my all to my Father.
But then
God reaches down so lovingly,
and whispers 'My child I will take care of thee.'
I'm
reminded we're not perfect but no need to fuss,
that's why Jesus came to die for us.
Just
surrender and let the changes start,
they'll be made from deep within your heart.
God knows
you and what you feel.
He discerns it all and knows what's real.
Sometimes
I wonder how I can ever wonder at all,
since I accepted Jesus and His salvation call.
