Joy In My Place
by Barbara Philbrook

Lord I find such joy in my place in life,
it brings me happiness to relieve pain and strife.

I pray that I always give the honor and glory to You,
that is where, dear Father, the praises are due.

It is You who provides the words I write,
it is You who knows what will make others feel all right.

It is You who relieves the sorrow and pain,
I am only used to write out each refrain.

I am so honored to be of use to You,
and pray others are blessed by these words too.

I must remember You are the potter, I am but the clay,
it is You who decides who will be used in what way.

May I continue to surrender each day left to me,
that you find me as useful a servant as I can be.

May I always find some joy in my place,
till I stand before You face to face.
