Just Waiting
by Barbara Philbrook

They are not "gone" as others are stating.
They are on the other side just waiting.

Just waiting on the other side of the gate.
Just called ahead of us to wait.

Just waiting to welcome us home,
Not wanting us to pass through alone.

Just waiting there for you and me,
No pain or sorrow, just waiting contentedly.

Just waiting for us to all come home,
No longer in this world to roam.

Just waiting till the "roll call" is made up yonder,
No more earthly roads to wander.

Just waiting there so patiently,
Till God calls us home so lovingly.

Just waiting till we are all together at last,
All pain and sorrow now part of the past.
