In My Lifetime
by Barbara Philbrook

In my lifetime I may face things that make my heart ache,
but I know my God does not make mistakes.

In my lifetime I may know sorrow,
but God has reminded me of heaven's tomorrow.

In my lifetime I may experience fear,
but my God assures me He is always near.

In my life I may not have luxuries,
but as God cares for the sparrow, He'll care for me.

In my lifetime sickness may come my way,
but I'll praise and trust Him any way.

In my lifetime I may feel some shame,
but now I am free in Jesus' name.

In my lifetime I may experience doubt,
but my loving Savior will work it out.

In my lifetime things may go wrong,
but knowing He'll work it out keeps me strong.

Though my life seems long to me,
in God's time it's only the blink of an eye you see!
