Living right can not be accomplished by me,
Lord I need You to gain the victory.

Overcoming or getting full control,
if left to me would cost me my soul.

Doing right in every circumstance,
Lord we both know I don't stand a chance.

I've tried to do it determining so in my mind,
but I was defeated every single time.

Lord I surrender and give the battle to You,
asking You to accomplish what I can not do.

Live right in me Lord I humbly pray,
that is the only hope I have for victory today.

Help me to remember it's a daily endeavor,
I need You today and will forever and ever.

Living right is impossible for me,
but by surrendering to You we'll have the victory.
