Look What God's Done
by Barbara Philbrook

Look what God's done, He's made a new person out of me,
no longer do I live in bondage. I am now Free!

I once lived my life being constantly in fear,
but now I know my God is near.

I once spent hours dwelling on the pains of the past,
but now I am serving my God at last.

He's provided the tools and the ability I need,
that with the work He's given I can proceed.

He gives me the words He wishes me to write,
something that constantly fills me with delight.

He sends people to me in search of His love,
then He provides their needs from above.

He has brought people who felt at the end of their rope,
and sent them away filled with hope.

Sometimes I am unaware of the part He is having me play,
then I'm so glad I surrendered to Him each day.

By surrendering totally each and every morn,
He has control of me and what goes on.

It is so awesome to be serving my Lord,
sometimes I want to sing dance and applaud.

Look what God's done with me,
He took my imprisoned mind and set me free.

No longer do I look at the past and how I felt all alone,
I think on that now as my stepping stone.

God used that stepping stone to lift me up,
and now He daily fills my cup.

Are you in pain suffering from things of the past,
take them to God and be free at last.

Look what God's done He's made me anew,
And if you but ask He'll do the same for you.
