Lord's Faith
by Barbara Philbrook

I  believe Lord that whatever faith I need right now to see me through,
that is the amount of faith I will receive from you.

I believe that the faith we have is not of ourselves but a gift from you instead,
and that no matter what lies before me you will give me the faith to face it  therefore I need not dread.

Faith is belief in things that cannot be seen,
belief in the things my Bible tells me and what the Holy Spirit interprets them to mean.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for but not yet received,
the promises I read about and without evidence I still believed.

Faith is what you give me to get me through the times that tend to be extra rough,
the times when standing on my  own strength would be way  too tough.

Faith is what gets me going when others poke fun at "You" or your "Holy Word",
faith in "You" can get my defenses up and get me stirred.

Faith is what allows me to get flustered and oh so frustrated at one who refuses to heed your beckoning call, Lord I wish I were smart enough to convince them all.

Faith is what gives me the peace that allows me to accept what I can not change,
faith is what lets me know when there are situations that I can rearrange.

Faith is what tells me that where two or more are gathered in prayer,
that you dear Father are also there.

Faith assures me that when we believe for anything that we seek as we pray,
that we can be assured of the answer  at the right time and in the right way.

Yes I believe that there is nothing Lord that You and I together can not do,
and when I get Home I'll spend eternity  giving the Honor and Glory to You!
