I Must Wait
by Barbara Philbrook

Lord I went to my Bible seeking new truths from you,
and you opened my  eyes as you promised to do.

You've shown me things of which I was never  before aware,
you've put in my heart a  hunger  which I can scarcely bear.

But it's alright because you've taught me well in the past,
that if I knew what you know I'd choose your way too from the first to the last.

I am convinced that there has never ever been a prayer I've said that hasn't been heard by you,
and each one has been answered in your perfect time and way as you've said you'd do.

So for the "walking in the Spirit" of which you speak in Your Holy Word,
I wish to thank you now and will wait till you choose the when the where in which it will occur.

I must confess waiting has never been a joyous task for me,
but I've learned that  waiting on you Lord has always brought more than I'd expected there to be.

Thank you "Dear Father", and thank you "Dear Jesus our Saviour" and thank you "Holy Spirit" all three being ONE, Thank you for Loving us even before our sinful lives had begun.

Thank You for loving us even though we were in such a sinful state,
and thank you for giving us the permeation of the Spirit for which I willingly wait.
