Oh Holy Spirit abiding in me,
I shall ever be grateful to Thee.

Grateful for the guidance You give,
so it is a Godly life I live.

Grateful for the discernment I possess,
allowing me to decipher the constant mess.

Grateful for the strength to survive each day,
even if I should go astray.

Grateful for the teaching so I may know,
all the truths the Word does show.

Grateful for the healing I've received,
the pain and suffering that's been relieved.

Grateful for the comfort when trials were more than I could bear,
I'm so glad You were there.

Grateful for each and everything You do,
and for the honor of knowing You.

Oh Holy Spirit, Comforter, Teacher and my dearest friend,
I am so grateful You'll be with me to the end.
