Once More
by Barbara Philbrook

Once more as we approach the end of a year,
we remember how our precious Savior did appear.

How having left His Father on the throne,
He came to be born in a manger as was shown.

Shown to the wise men and prophets of old,
who the Savior's lowly birth foretold.

Told He'd be born in a stable that night,
and how the shepherds would behold an awesome sight.

The Heavenly angels singing with wonder and glory,
as they witnessed the beginning of the Salvation story.

Wise men would travel from far away,
so homage to this Holy Child they could pay.

The story would pass down to our century,
allowing all who would hear a choice you see.

The choice of whether or not to live for eternity,
whether to accept what Jesus did for you and me.

The greatest gift you can give this year,
is to explain that choice making it perfectly clear.

Everyone must choose on their own,
look in God's Word the truth is clearly shown.

No one who calls on the Savior will be forsaken,
the gift of Salvation is yours for the taking.

Oh how happy Jesus would be,
if you would choose to be with Him for eternity.

Give Him the greatest gift of all this year,
accept salvation and reserve your place there.

Once more we celebrate Jesus' birthday,
let's determine we'll do it the right way.
