Only One Me
By Barbara Philbrook

Throughout all of eternity there is only one me,
so Heavenly Father make me all that I can be.

Let me survive the trials and temptations,
growing each time and increasing my limitations.

May I learn all that there is for me to learn,
especially that I'll reap all that my sowing does earn.

May the things that you have set for me to do,
be accomplished bringing Honor and Glory to you.

May the people whom you intend for me to reach,
be touched by the love you feel for each.

May the joys you established to engulf my life,
banish the sorrows and lighten my strife.

May the tears I shed wash away all inner sorrow,
making me see the brightness of each new tomorrow.

May I remember others are watching all that I do,
and may what they see be a reflection of you.

Only one me existing in all eternity,
Father I pray I never bring shame to thee.
