Our Precious Saviour
by Barbara Philbrook

Our precious Saviour slept without a pillow for His head,
lying on straw in a manger instead.

Here on a mission of great import,
He didn't sign in at a great resort.

A lowly birth was earlier foretold,
soon His special mission would unfold.

Man would now have a choice to make,
salvation is being offered for all to take.

An opportunity to live forevermore,
if we but open our heart's door.

If we accept and surrender to Him,
a new life in each of us He'll begin.

Changing us from deep inside,
removing all sinfulness and pride.

Making us each into a brand new man,
just as promised in the salvation plan.

A lowly birth and death on a cross,
all so that we need not be lost.

But the decision is ours to make,
I pray that yours is not a mistake.

Jesus will return this time as our king,
as all who accept joyfully sing.

Hosanna to Jesus throughout eternity,
His love is so great He died for you and me.

Our precious Saviour who gave His all,
now awaits to hear all who call.
