Paid For Now
by Barbara Philbrook

It's that time of the month the bills are due.
It is my very least favorite thing to do.

I've set myself down and accomplished the task.
I'd wish them away if I were given what ever I ask.

I guess it's because finances are tight,
but it's a job I resist monthly always putting up a fight.

I force myself because it's the right thing to do,
but if I could I'd skip them all, what about you?

Well this month they are finished at last.
I'll be glad when bills will be a thing of the past.

Just as the debt for our sin is paid in full and no longer due,
one day the things of this life will be in the past too.

No bills to pay, no contracts to be met.
No reason to fear, no reason to fret.

Life will be lived with no sickness or pain.
No worrying about whether there's a profit to gain.

We can not even imagine how wonderful it will be,
I know I await it both in awe and expectantly.

But until then the bills will come each month to pay,
and that we had enough I'm thankful today.

Father I offer next month's bills to you,
and trust that we will have enough then too.

Paid now and trusting God for the ones we'll get,
the same peace of mind can be yours don't fret

Accept salvation having God take charge of it all,
to accomplish this you simply on His name call.

He'll hear you, He's listening for your voice.
Go to your Bible, it will tell you how to make your choice.
