Patience
by Barbara Philbrook

In your patience you possess your soul,
therefore the perfecting of our patience should be our goal.

God has a very unique way of developing patience in each one he considers his own,
and to develop that patience he often puts us through things where we feel all alone.

The trials and problems we face and through which we can remain on our feet,
the temptations we come to and then defeat.

These all contribute to the development of patience in each one of us,
we can be conquerors if we call on God and accept his guidance without any fuss.

Things aren't always meant to be finished yesterday,
although in our sinfulness we expect them to come out that way.

I've heard it said before that anything worth having is worth waiting to get,
that means excepting the wait without giving in to fret.

The joy of knowing that no matter what we say or do,
that things will be done in God's time is one that will bring thrills to you.

We mustn't try to rush what God intends for you or me,
when the time is right God will make known our Destiny.

In the meantime the things in life that He brings us through,
are perfecting our character so we'll be ready when our Destiny is ready for me and for you!

Thank You Father for having for each of us a Destiny,
and Thank You Father for the things in my life that build character and patience in me.
