Peace In My Heart
by Barbara Philbrook

Peace in my heart as joy fills my mind,
to know I serve a God so loving and kind.

I woke up this morning rested and refreshed,
my heart is not filled with any heaviness.

I am able to breath and to fall to my knees,
I am able to pray for strength and needs.

I can Thank God for the good in my life,
and show appreciation for trials and strife.

I can stand on my feet and walk through the door,
and face anything this day has in store.

I can look for the good in every event I face,
and give Praise to God for all of His grace.

I can share what Jesus did for man,
and explain how each can accept the salvation plan.

I can reach out to others suffering pain,
and share my hope which they too can attain.

I can give love and devotion to all I meet,
because the Love of God within is complete.

I can uplift those sunken in depression,
giving each of them a happier expression.

I can spend this day spreading happiness and mirth,
since I know I'm a person of worth.

I once felt useless and unworthy of love,
but then I discovered I have a Father above.

A Father who knew me before the world began,
the Father who made the Salvation Plan.

A Father who's acceptance and love,
had Him prepare a home for me with Him above.

A Father who allowed His only Son to die on a cross,
so that I would not be eternally lost.

A peace in my heart is what I feel today,
because I am loved in such a phenomenal way.
