Prayer
by Barbara Philbrook
Have you
ever taken a request to your father above in the form of
a needful prayer,
and you wait and you wait but the answer just
doesn't seem to there.
Now you
reread your bible on the subject of a prayer and in
frustration cry out "haven't you heard?"
But take heed a dear loved child of God as I have for you
an encouraging word.
God hears
each and every word that we utter wether directed to him
or to each other,
furthermore God responds to our needs in a more perfect
way than any earthly Father or Mother.
Now the
answer may not be such that it makes your face glow as if
lit,
and the timing into your schedule may not perfectly fit.
But of
this one fact you can be absolutely certain within,
if you knew what God knows your choice and his choice
would be duplicate twins.
So when
you come to the Lord to talk to him in prayer,
never worry or fret just trust that he's there.
There's
one other fact which the bible instructs us,
when we pray to the father we must do so in the name of
Jesus.
Ask that
your prayer be heard and his will to be done all in the
name of the Son,
then just start trusting and watching your answer
will come.
A prayer
need not be formal nor contain fancy speech,
no actually a loving heartfelt conversation would be much
more certain his ears to reach.
You see
God doesn't see us as we are seen by man who looks
only on the outer part,
no God sees us as we truly are way deep within our heart.
So when
his loving ears you sincerely wish to reach,
what you feel in your heart must come out in your speech.
Talk to
God as you would your dearest friend,
because you'll discover he's even more than that in the
very end.
You
see " The Creator" of the world who is our
Father above,
sent his only Son to die on a cross for all
sinners who will accept his love.
Now if
"The Creator"of this earth and "The
Heavenly King" would go through so much so we may go
home once again, do you doubt they hear our prayers
and know the best way to answer us and precisely when?
It is my
prayer that you'll pray, believe, and in a total trust
wait,
then we'll all walk home together through God's pearly
gate.
