Reminders
by Barbara Philbrook

Reminders keep coming to me,
letting me remember my humanity.

I received a new Spirit the day I was saved,
but it is a daily choice I make as to how I'll behave.

I must surrender daily the workings of my heart.
Surrender each morning at the day's start.

God promises to be our everything, our all,
but our part is that on Him we must call.

"I die daily" is what Paul has to say,
meaning He surrendered anew to God each day.

Giving God our all from head to toe,
promising it is by His leading we choose to go.

To be led by the Spirit in all that we do or say,
giving honor and glory to God that whole day.

Reminders that any good done is not done by me.
It is the good done by the Holy Spirit you see.

Reminders that without God I am but man,
saved by His grace and the salvation plan.
