The Road To Recovery
by Barbara Philbrook

The road to recovery is often reached by regret.
There are those who have not traveled it yet.

First there is remembrance of the things from the past,
otherwise the recovery can not last.

Repentance is the next step they come one after the other.
Getting right with God means I make up with my brother.

This is the pivot point where things will turn at last.
Soon all of this pain will be in the past.

Tis to reliance I must travel this time.
I've learned that I need a guide and God is mine.

Without God we can can do nothing at all,
and God won't do anything unless we make that first call.

So call on the Father and ask for His leading,
and it's on to recovery you will be proceeding.

The road to recovery was paved long ago,
and it's one our heavenly Father wants us all to know.
