So Much Pain, So Much Sorrow
by Barbara Philbrook

So much pain, so much sorrow,
Lord give me the strength to get through till tomorrow.

I cried out 'Father God please strengthen me',
"my grace is sufficient" are the words in my Bible that I see.

There are promises that we will receive grace sufficient to see us through,
but I can't find a promise that says "No suffering" can you?

There are words to say don't give up because God's strength will help you to stand,
and words saying we were loved before creation began.

There are stories to say that each tear and pain have been suffered and understood,
and words to show God loves the bad and the good.

There are consoling words for arms empty with no child to enfold,
there are stories about frightened people who became very bold.

Why even the hungry lions mouth was kept sealed,
and three men surviving the roaring fire are revealed.

Miracles happened left and right,
cripples walked and the blind received their sight.

But no where are we told no suffering there would be,
instead it says "when you suffer trials and temptations count it a Joy" in James 1:2&3.

Yes so much pain and so much sorrow,
but Praise God, His Grace will get us through to each  tomorrow.
