Death Where Is Your Sting?
by Barbara Philbrook

Death where is your sting,
where is the pain you sometimes bring?

I will not suffer it I'll tell you why,
we will see each other in the great by and by.

God promises we'll be together one fine day,
if we've each surrendered as we knelt to pray.

He' has made mansions in which we'll abide,
because we opened our hearts and welcomed Him inside.

Sorrow and morning are for those with no hope,
those who have virtually come to the end of their rope.

Death is but a sleep you see,
from which we'll awaken to live together for eternity.

Never again to know fear pain or sorrow,
just eternal bliss in Heaven's tomorrow.

When sadness or depression try to overcome me,
I shall rebuke it along with the enemy.

I shall envision him with Jesus walking on a golden street,
his happiness and fulfillment now complete.

No there is no pain here in my heart,
because I know when the time's right we'll no longer be apart.

Thanks to my Heavenly Father I needn't feel depression or sorrow,
I can rejoice instead over Heaven's tomorrow.
