I'm Not Strong Enough
by Barbara Philbrook

I'm not strong enough to face life's trials alone,
all of my past failings this has shown.

I want to give up, to stop or quit.
I know I am not strong enough to conquer it.

I don't want to tackle trouble one on one.
I may not survive and then I'd look dumb.

I don't want to look the part of a fool.
It hurts inside, it is mean and cruel.

Does this sound exactly like you?
Are you hoping not to face up to what your supposed to?

Are you holding back for fear of defeat?
Are you afraid of what obstacles you'll meet?

Are you suffering from low self esteem?
Are you worried what defeat might mean?

You're looking at this with the wrong perspective.
Your reasoning has become defective.

God promises us no more than we can bear,
and if you need Him, He will be right there.

There is absolutely nothing you face alone.
This is what the Bible has shown.

We have a Comforter who resides within,
as soon as you were saved He moved right in.

He's there to guide, to teach and strengthen you,
in everything you are meant to do.

You will not be facing one minute alone.
It is God's strength which will be shown.

So don't let fear get you worried and afraid,
because God's plan of victory is already made.

I'm not strong enough and neither are you,
but we aren't alone, we have the Comforter too.
