Sympathy
by Barbara Philbrook

Sympathy is what I feel in my heart.
I've felt this way since the sickness did start.

If there were a way, I'd relieve you of all your sorrow.
I'd make today go away and give you a new tomorrow.

There is no way to do that for you,
but I can share what I would do.

I can tell you what I'd do if it were me.
I'd take it to God and leave it at His feet you see.

I've been blessed to learn God is my strength,
to help me out He'll go to great length.

When I am suffering and in great pain,
I ask God's help in Jesus' name.

I know He hears because I'm overcome with peace,
as all the pain and sorrow are released.

God gets me through every trial that comes my way,
and He's waiting to help you like that today.

Call on your Father, He is sure to hear.
He loves you so much and holds you so dear.

He'll give you all you need to get you through.
It's a promise He's made to me and you.

Call out to God and tell Him your need,
and instantly with an inner peace He will proceed.
