Tis The Season
by Barbara Philbrook

Tis the season to be jolly.
Well for some lonely souls that statement is pure folly.

Some people are living all alone.
No one around from which love will be shown.

Some people are engulfed in agonizing pain.
So it is difficult to sing a holiday's refrain

Some people have recently put a loved one to rest.
They of course do not feel at their best.

Tis the season so lets think of another.
Is there some way to make their holiday brighter?

Tis the season let's bring others some mirth.
Along with our wishes of "Peace On Earth".

Reach out to those less fortunate than you.
Jesus will be honored by any kind thing you do.

Loving smiles passed out during the day,
contribute to chasing others sadness away.

A cheery "Hi Happy Holiday To You",
can lift another's spirits and it's so easy to do.

Let's put in the extra effort it will take,
and perhaps a difference in someone's life it'll make.

Let's ask our Father to lead us each day,
to make another's life better in some way.

The joy of doing good is contagious you see,
soon you'll be reaching out more diligently.

There are things you could live without,
and someone who needs them more I've no doubt.

Let's share the blessings we've received,
and thereby another's needs are relieved.

That is the spirit Jesus would like to see,
during this Holiday season from you and me.

The spirit of giving, of sharing the wealth,
to the relieving of pain and improvement of health.

Tis the season to spread holiday cheer.
Let's look on each lonely soul as precious and dear.
