The Trumpet Is Sounding
by Barbara Philbrook

The trumpet is sounding, don't you hear the call to arms?
We are to warn our brothers of this world's harms.

Come along, join in the Lord's army.
He needs us all, you and me.

Pick up your banner wave it boldly for the world to see.
We are the soldiers in God's army.

March forward, none of us know the way,
but we must determine to fight the battle today.

God is gathering us together one and all.
Are you willing? Will you answer the call?

Will you sign on? Join with God today.
Come along, He will guide us in the right way.

Put on your armor as spoken of in the Word.
We're all aware of the enemy we've each heard.

We know he's not trustworthy, he will attack in every way.
Make sure you wear your armor every day.

You don't have to face him on your own.
We have the Comforter, the proof of this is shown.

We are in the army, the army of God.
We will tread where those before us have already trod.

Satan is defeated, it was accomplished on the cross,
because our Father does not will that even one be lost.

The battle rages on for those who haven't heard.
Join us now let's spread the good word.

Time is short soon we will be going home.
Come join us now, we don't want to leave any here alone.

The trumpet is sounding, won't you heed the call?
Jesus died for us, one and all.
