Until
by Barbara Philbrook

Until you have been there you know not the pain,
until you experience relief you can not sing it's glorious refrain.

Until you hurt within the depth of your soul,
you can not share with others the depth of life's toll.

Until you have known rejection by those you deeply love,
you can not know how valuable is acceptance from above.

Until sorrow has torn your heart in two,
the "Peace That Passeth Understanding" will not mean the same to you.

Until anguish has torn you asunder in some way,
you will not know the joy of walking with Jesus day to day.

Until your eyes are opened and you are allowed to see,
you will not understand what my loving God has done for me.

Until you've heard that precius small voice,
you won't understand nor will you make your choice.

Until the time is right, none of this will you know,
but when your time has come all of these truths God will show.
