The Valley is
Deep
by
Barbara Philbrook
The valley is
deep the way up steep,
but you have a Destiny my friend you must keep.
God has called
you and given you a gift,
that those who are down may receive a lift.
A lift out of
the depression and the miry clay,
a special lift as you show them the way.
"I've
appointed you to reach out to the lost,
to tell them Jesus has paid all of sin's cost.
I've given you
words I desire spread around,
you are perfectly suited for this I've found.
Perfectly suited
for the work I've allotted to you,
work that no one else is able to do.
All things are
possible when I am your guide,
I will lead the way and keep you in stride.
The valley is
deep but the victory already won,
way back when they crucified My Son.
A borrowed grave
is where they laid Him back then,
and three days later He rose again.
Winning for all
who want it the final victory,
if they will but believe and call out to me.
I already know
the end result,
and I've appointed you to help the lost figure it out.
The enemy will
come in to try to discourage,
but my child I've provided plenty of courage.
Will you meet
the challenge and pick up the cross,
will you reach out to help save the lost?
The valley is
deep but you aren't alone,
Jesus will bear the burden as though it were His
own."
