I'm Waiting To Serve
by Barbara Philbrook

"I'm waiting to serve till I know what I am to do."
Does this statement apply to you?

Are you waiting till you know without a doubt,
that what you attempt will all work out?

Are you waiting before you serve,
to know that you have been given enough nerve?

Are you waiting to ask God to heal,
until someone's cure He has been able to reveal.

Is it unworthiness that is making you wait,
or is fear of reaction making you hesitate?

Procrastination is a tool of the enemy,
one we use but aren't able to see.

We allow ourselves to have worry and doubt,
forgetting that Jesus has it all worked out.

We must be bold and use what gifts we've got,
not give in to worry over those we have not.

If we are faithful in few we are told,
we'll be given more as the followers of old.

Take your one talent and put it to the test,
God will be pleased and give you the rest.

Do whatever it is God asks of you,
and before you know it your one talent will be two.

So stop procrastinating, rebuke that sin.
Start using your gift to bring more sheep in.

Depending on what God has planned for you,
that is what decides if your gifts are many or few.

"I'm waiting to serve" will no longer be on your mind,
because you'll be too busy using all of the gifts you'll find.
