We Ought To Come Together
by Barbara Philbrook

We ought to come together one and all,
once we've accepted Jesus' call.

We ought to follow just as Jesus led,
not following our rules but His dictates instead.

He showed us an example of the way we should go,
while He was living here below.

Not accumulating wealth here on Earth,
but by showing the lost they have great worth.

Exhorting each and every lost soul,
lifting them up making them feel whole.

Offering salvation to every lost man,
as we introduce them to God's great plan.

Explaining to them the cost of sin,
and that Jesus died so their salvation could begin.

How they have a choice that must be made,
and make sure a good foundation is laid.

Being there when things go wrong,
or to encourage them to grow and help them along.

We're a family caring for one another,
attending the needs of each sister and brother.

Where there are things that need to be done,
each should take part not leave it all for one.

Waiting too long can be dangerous you see,
we could be left out of Heaven for eternity.

We ought to come together all in one accord,
as we determine within to serve our Lord.
