What I
Wish For
by
Barbara Philbrook
What I
wish for is the ability to put into words the feelings
that are within my heart,
I wish that I could convey to others the Love that God
offers and wishes to impart.
I wish
that I could convey what the "Peace that passeth
understanding" has done for me,
I wish that the comfort that God has given were visible
for all the aching souls to see.
I wish
that those who have never been enfolded in a pair of
loving arms,
could experience what being wanted entailed without any
of perversions painful harms.
I wish
that I had ears that could listen and hear the words
people ache to say,
I wish I could respond to them in God's own special way.
I wish
that I had the understanding that could solve all of the
cares or woes of each aching heart,
I wish I had Solomon's knowledge so wisdom is what I
could impart.
I wish
that I were blessed with riches beyond my personal
need,
not for my own selfishness but so that I could
share it with others as God's guidance I would
heed.
I wish
that the world were perfect and that little children
could never know fear or pain,
I wish that perfection were possible for us all to
attain.
I could go
on wishing for ever and nothing on the earth would
change,
but there will one day be a perfect existence and a
reservation is possible for you to arrange.
The fact
that there will be paradise and that we can all be
assured we'll be allowed in,
is talked about in your Bible, if you have never read it
now is a good time to begin.
God in His
great love for us created the salvation plan,
and the Bible tells of it's existence even before life as
we know it began.
So great
is God's love for us that He allowed His Son to die in
our place,
so that one day soon we'll all be called home to see Him
face to face.
There is
no secret to salvation, accepting God's gift is all you
must do,
call out Jesus name and tell him you accept, that is all
He asks of you.
At that
very moment a new work in you is begun,
and God promises that it will continue until we are
called home by His Son.
What I
wish for now is that you will pick up your Bible and ask
God it's truths to unfold,
you will begin the most magnificent adventure that ever
has been told.
Then once
you've read about it and realize that there is a choice
to be made,
I pray your choice puts your name in the Book of Life and
the price of your sins marked Paid!
