In Loving Memory
April 9th, 1984 - December 26th, 1997

Brandon was forging a path;
The Eagle Scout was finally in view;
He had worked to earn his awards,
To his goal he'd been totally true.

We watched as he worked his way upward,
And even though he's lost from our sight,
His memory now soars with the Eagles,
and his STAR will always be bright.

Brandon John Lloyd was born Monday, April 9, 1984 to John and Rebecca Lloyd in Riverside California. It was the most joyous moment of John & Becky's life.

Even though his parents divorced when he was quite young, Brandon was always deeply loved by both.

Brandon accepted and loved Kristan when she entered his life. Brandon had always longed for a brother and sister and at the age of ten, he finally became Big Brother to twin sisters, Jessica & Alyssa.

Brandon was always a very happy, friendly child with many, many friends. He attended John Adams Elementary School, Grades K-6, graduating with the President's Award for Academics. He participated in Little League Baseball, joined Scouting, and participated in the Jr. All American Football League.

Brandon continued with Cub Scouting, advanced to Webelos, earned his Arrow of Light and received Cub Scout of the Year Award. He then crossed over into Boy Scouts. He had advanced through the ranks to Star Scout, attended Advanced Junior Leader Training earning his Buckskin award, and was moving on the path to Eagle Scout.

Brandon was currently an 8th grade student at Matthew Gage Middle School in Riverside. He was an excellent student receiving high marks in all his classes, and his teachers thought him "a joy to have in their class". Brandon's parents had just been notified that he had been recommended for an honors college preparatory program, the "International Baccalaureate" from John W. North High School.

Brandon's other interests included: computers, creating programs, computer games, video games, "Weird Al Yankovich", and his pet hamster "Harvey The Wonder Hamster".

Brandon's life was cut short due to a bout with bacterial meningitis.
