in Grassey Creek, North Carolina, and died November 11, 1931 in Union Mills,
 North Carolina.  He married  MARY MATILDA BUCHANAN March 02, 1889 in Cane
 Creek Baptist, North Carolina, daughter of ALEXANDER BUCHANAN and CRENA
WILSON.

Mrs. Hodge Dead - Well know Mother Buried Sunday
Mrs. Lee Hodge, age 34 died Saturday afternoon suddenly, her home in the
Greenhill Section and was buried Sunday at 3 pm at the Piedmont Baptist
Church with the pastor, Rev TM Hester in charge, asisted by Rev. Roosevelt
Crawford.  A large crowd of sorrowing friends attended.  Mrs. Hodge is
survived by her husband and five children, the youngest being three years
old,while the oldest is fifteen.  One brother, Issac Talmadge Wise of
Spindale also survives with a sister, Mrs Eddie Watkins of McDowell County.
She was a member of Adaville Baptist Church.  She was in Mitchell County and
reared in McDowell but has made Rutherford home the past................
