1. CHARLES HILL (JAMES, JAMES)was born Abt. 1796, and died Abt. 1880.Notes for NARCISSUS "NURSEY" NANNEY: Narcissus's line has been followed back to John Nanney b. Abt. 1724 who came from Wales to Sussex Co., Va (Virgiania) and on back to Cadwgan, who descended from Prince of Pows and Prince of Wales (3rd Royal Tribe), which means that Narcissus's descendants have royal blood in their lineage. Narcissus' grandmother Flacks's line has been followed back to John Flack b. Abt. 1751 (bur. Brittain Ch.). Narcissus was raised in "Nanney Town" in Union Mills area not far from where her grandfather Shadrack is buried in Bucket Hill Cememtery.

She was born without a right hand, it was just a stub. Yet, she raised 10 children. During the Civil War she spun, wove, and made a suit for Barney which she sent him while he was serving away in the homeguard, a task which they say left her fingers raw and bleeding.
