Edward and Ellen Hansen
This is the part of my ancestry that I am finding the most interesting and the most difficult to find any information about,so if you have any information I would love to hear from you.
I have been trying to find information regarding my great great grandparents,Hans Knudsen Hansen and Anne Marie Olsen. Hans and Mary had a son named Edvard which would have been anglanised to Edward when he came to Australia.
According to Edwards marriage certificate he was born in 1848 in Moss, County Ostfold, Norway. Sometime before 1872 he arrived in Australia, I am still yet to find any information on how he got there. If you know something that I don't I would love to hear from you :)On 31 August 1872 Edward married Ellen Walsh in the Presbytery of the Brighton Catholic Church, Melbourne, Australia. Edward died in Bayswater, Victoria in 1926.
Ellen was born in 1852 in County Kilkenny, Ireland, she was born to the parents of Thomas Walsh and Bridget Henessey. Ellen died on 11 October 1933 at her parents house at Bayswater, Victoria, she is buried in the Roman Catholic section of the Brighton Cemetry.
