God's Colors Of Autumn September is emptying into the Fall, The petals of Summer: The bird's cheery call, The life-giving sap in the maples and oaks The memorable rides on the old country roads.
The picturesque sunsets o'er boat dotted lakes, The family reunions...in groves by the way, The laughter of children on swings in the park, The firefly's glow as the evening grows dark.
September is emptying into the Fall The petals of summer (the joys clear to all), But while Summer's petals are falling from view, God's colors of
Autumn, resplendent, shine through.
I Like Autumn Best In every season of the year Rare beauty may be seen, Bestowed by God in colors fair In his creative scheme. Spring and summer are the times When flowers are in bloom With enticing fragrances To beautify a room. There's splendor in a world of white, When gusty north winds blow And the moon is shining bright upon new fallen snow, But when the leaves come tumbling down In gold and crimson dressed To lay a carpet on the ground, It's autumn I like best.
