      The following information is compiled from the Benton Co., TN records and the contributions of Rene' Seigh of Alabama a descendent of Issac Hollingsworth & Pauline Miller of Arkansas, a Luper/Looper researcher.

      ISSAC HOLLINGSWORTH


      Isaach (Issac) Hollingsworth was the third child of George Hollingsworth. He was born in 1827 in Tennessee.He married Elizabeth Luper/Looper on May 4, 1848 in Benton Co., TN by Pleasant Mullinicks, JP. Elizabeth was born about 1828 in TN to William Cullen Luper/Looper & Nancy Hatley.Issac was in the 5th TN Infantry Company M,in the Civil War, he died in June of 1863.

      Issac Hollingsworth & Elizabeth Luper/Looper had seven known children.


      1. Nancy Hollingsworth was born in 1848 in Tennessee. She may have died between 1850 and 1860.Nothing further is known at this time.

      2. Elijah Hollingsworth was born in 1850 in Tennessee.
      He married Lydia Emaline Cravins on Sept.26, 1869 in Benton Co., TN, by S. Luper. This marriage ended in divorce before 1880.

      3. Pheby J. (A.)Hollingsworth was born in 1853 in Tennessee.
      She married Issac Freeland on May 27, 1878 in Benton Co., TN, by Henry A. Green, JP. Nothing further is known at this time.

      4. Sherrod(Sherwood)Hollingsworth was born in April of 1854 in Tennessee.
      He married Martha Oatsvall on March 9, 1878 in Benton Co., TN.

      5. William Hollingsworth was born in 1855 in Tennessee.
      He married Martha Hatley in 1873 in Benton Co., TN, by James Shurley, JP.

      6. Thomas Alexander Hollingsworth was born in 1860 in Tennessee. He married Elizabeth Douglas in 1881 in Benton Co., TN. This family is under active research.

      7. Alice Hollingsworth was born in 1860 in Tennessee.
      Her birthdate varies in the census between 1857-1860.
      She appears to have married Cantrel Bethel Holland on June 17, 1886 in Benton Co., TN, by James F. Presson, JP.
