ROBERT G. HOLLINGSWORTH

            He is a descendant of Robert G. Hollingsworth.

            Robert G. Hollingsworth was the first child of George Hollingsworth and Susan Harvey. He was born on Sept.19, 1824 in Tennessee.He died on Aug.31, 1893 in Tennessee.
            He married three times. His first wife was Martha Jane Dowdy. They married on Nov.5, 1845 in Henry Co., TN.Martha was born on July 2, 1825 in North Carolina to John T. and Mary Dowdy.Martha died on Aug.27, 1858 in Tennessee.

            Robert G. Hollingsworth and Martha J. Dowdy had seven children, only three lived to adulthood.

          • 1.Sarah Ann Hollingsworth was born on Aug.28, 1846 in Tennessee.
            She married William S. Hicks on March 31, 1864 in Benton Co., TN.She died on July 21, 1870.
          • 2.John Henry Hollingsworth was born on Nov.10, 1847 in Tennessee. He married Mary A. Farrar in 1871 in Benton Co., TN. He died sometime after 1930 in Craighead Co., Arkansas.

          • 3.Arsena Bell Hollingsworth was born on Feb.8, 1849 in Tennessee. She died on July 20, 1852 in Tennessee.

          • 4.Marah Elizabeth Hollingsworth was born on Oct.1, 1850 in Tennessee. She died on March 11, 1851 in Tennessee.

          • 5.Andrew Jackson Hollingsworth was born on Feb.20, 1853 in Tennessee. He married Martha Ellen Shields.

          • 6.Francis Marion Hollingsworth was born on Feb.5, 1855 in Tennessee. He died on July 14, 1861 in Tennessee.

          • 7.Cordela Icdene Hollingsworth was born on June 5, 1857 in Tennessee. She died on Dec.4, 1858 in Tennessee.


            • Robert G. Hollingsworth's second marriage was to Mary Adaline Willett on April 3, 1859 in Maneyville, Henry Co., TN. Mary was born on Jan.2, 1823 in Tennessee to L.W. and Deliah (Delilia)Willett. Mary died on Nov.12, 1876 in Tennessee.

            Robert and Mary had two children;

            1. Robert Alonzo Hollingsworth was born on March 9, 1860. He died on July 16, 1860 Henry Co., TN.

            2.Narcissus Adaline Hollingsworth was born on May 20, 1861.


            Robert G. Hollingsworth later married his third wife, a sister to Martha Jane Dowdy, Perneta Ann Dowdy on December 12, 1886 in Henry Co., Tennessee. They had no children.Perneta was born in 1839 in Tennessee.
            Robert G. Hollingsworth died on Aug.31, 1893 in Tennessee.
