Welcome To My Rat PageSince losing Tasha, my dog, last year, I was at a lose in the pet department. I had always had hampsters before, as a small pet, and had not long lost my last one to old age. When a friend suggested a rat, I was very unsure. Rats had a bad press and in our house I had my Mum. She did not want a rat, mouse or any other furry creature. ![]() So to my supprize on April Fools Day, 1st April 1999, a good friend of mine turned up with one small brown ball of fluff. Well she had to be called "April" didn't she. Within a few minutes of her arrival she was out wanting cuddles, I was amazed after having hampsters who take their time to get to know you. ![]() AprilShe soon ended up with her sister, to keep her company. Robyn, so called as she has a beige hood - "Robin Hood", LOL, turn out to be alittle more timid but is still wonderful fun and is coming on really well. ![]() RobynWell we've been together a whole year and I would now never be without them. As pets they are easy to handle, clean, full of fun, and great with children. ![]() The links below are to my Rat Genes pages; they're based on what I have read and some other gene pages I've found on the web.
