Hi!
I'm Julian Joseph, Jr.
I turned one year old on May 17th, 1998.
It's me!

I'm doing more and more stuff each passing week. I can reach higher and higher, but shoot, my Mom keeps moving stuff up a little higher than I can reach. I unscrewed the top to my Dad's bright green aftershave which I poured out onto the carpet! Glug, glug, glug! It's a wondrous world and I'm gaining more control over it every day!

At my one year doctor appointment I weighed 25.4 pounds and was 30 inches tall!

Favorite foods:
Hmmm. Actually I like just about everything and I'm able to eat a lot of stuff what with having 14 teeth. It's easier to list what I don't like. So far, I don't like:
Apples - I don't care how thin they're sliced.
Broccoli - George Bush was right about that!
Favorite toys:
Wooden blocks in a push wagon
Push-popper toy
Stuffed Elmo from Grama Ann
Teddy bear from Daddy
Anybody's keys
My rubber duck in the tub

If you like hand made wooden toys Michael Linck makes the most beautiful toys you'll ever see. These are toys that you'll want to keep in the family for always.

Favorite songs:
I still like Northern Exposure music. Mom got the soundtrack for me.
What a Wonderful World Louie Armstrong CD. Daddy walks me to sleep to Satchmo. Baby Beluga by Raffi. Mamma never heard of Raffi till she had me.
Winnie the Pooh which Mamma must like a lot too because she often hums it to herself.
Mr. Bach Comes to Call. It's classical music made fun for kids. Grama Tucker mailed it to me!

Another source for Raffi's music is at Rounder Record Groups. You can listen to a sample and purchase music there.

Favorite books:
Baby Beluga by Raffi
Farm Animals
The Three Little Wolves - Grama Tucker finds some trippy books!
All of the hand me down board books from my cousins Jake and The Bug Boy (Josh)
Places I like to go:
Reading Time on Wednesdays. It's very exciting to me! All the kids and *singing songs*!
The Children's Museum to the room just for preschoolers where I can touch *everything*.
The park to swing, play in the sand, and see the geese. (Me swinging.)
To the mailbox with Mom and Dad --but NOBODY can hold my hand!
To empty the trash with Daddy. I carry some trash too.

Okay, okay. Enough with all the happiness and mirth. We all know that babies cry! If you want to see a picture of one baby *about to cry*... Click here.

Do you want to see more pictures of the baaaby? Yes /
No
My Mamma bakes a mean boysenberry pie! Yum! My mom was invited to respond to a FAQ on the topic of babywearing. If you are interested in reading about babywearing you will find her comments and other moms comments and experiences posted here. (Her name is Shawn.) Much appreciation goes to Laura Bassi Zaff for all the work she did to develop the questionnaire and compile the replies. |
And my mom is a stay at home-attachment parenting mom! For a general and straightforward explanation of ap philosophy from the Natural Child Project web site click here.
