"I suppose you are anxious to hear from me. I should have writtensooner, but the mail only comes here once a week and that is onWednesday, so when I came here it was too late to write that week.

We left Mr. McCulloughs on Sunday moring and arrived at Lancaster thatnight, and the next day Uncle Williamson hired a gig, and took me outto Litiz, I felt very sorry when he left me, I shall never forget himfor his kindness to me along the road - I was very glad to see UncleRobert Hays in Harrisburg. We dined with him there, Grandmother hadgone to church, I did not see her, I feel very sorry when I think thatI am to be separated from all of you for three months. I know the timewill seem very long, Father I hope you will not think it a trouble tosend me a letter every week, I shall look for one at any rate, you canwrite it on Monday and then I shall get it on Wednesday. When youwrite let me know how your lip has got, or if it is getting any betteron not, and if you have got well of your cold, and how my Dear Motherhas got of her cold, and if Brother has gone to Philadelphia or not sothat I may know whether to expect him or not - I suppose Brother andSister McPherson will soon be over. Tell Sister when I bade herfarewell I did not think that I should not see her for three months orperhaps never - O Father Dear be sure and send me a letter every Week,or else I shall feel disappointed -

It distressed me at first when I came here to think I should not hearfrom you for nearly three Weeks - However I hope we shall all meettogether once more in this World - The next letter I write I shall letyou know what I am going to learn -Tell Sister when she comes over byall means to write me a letter - Margaret Nevins Received a letterfrom her Cousin Elizabeth McCoy informing her that Uncle Isaac Cookintended going to Pennsylvania in the course of a Week -

I intended bringing my flannel sleeves with me, but I forgot them, Isuppose you will have no opportunity of sending them tho - I forgot myBible also - be sure if any of you take sick to let me know -

My time will be up the 24th of January so when you come for me you canleave home the 21st of January -

Mother you will please to save a crock of applebutter for me until Ireturn - I think you had better come down in the winter in the slay itwill be a ride for you and you will see the place, and me also -

Give my love to my Grandmother and to all my friends and to JaneLeeper and Juliet - I give my love to my Dear Mother and Brother, andBrother and Sister McPherson when you see them, and may every blessingattend you is the wish of your affectionate Daughter
